DO YOU KNOW THE MASTER BUILDER?
Excerpt from the book, “Church Rotation,” by Devon Robinson
Permits are written, verbal, or other permission to perform an action, and are given to property owners to grant legal authorization to conduct an activity. Unlike earthly builders, God has provided us with a two-way permit. When a builder builds on a piece of property he can obtain a permit to govern what takes place on his property, but has no control over activities that transpire outside of his property limits. God has permitted us to have power over the enemy regardless of his location or plan; as well, He has granted us a permit to protect our property by refusing Satan access to our territory. God has given us power and authority to speak into all areas of our lives. There is not a builder in the entire world that can out-build Jesus; the Master Builder!
“Look, I have given you authority over all the power of the enemy, and you can walk among snakes and scorpions and crush them. Nothing will injure you.” Luke 10:19 (NLT)
“No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the Lord.” Isaiah 54:17 (Amplified)
“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” James 4:7 (KJV)
Furthermore, He granted us the authority to not only speak and command change in our lives but into the lives of others through intercessory prayer.
“I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people.Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them.Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. This is good and pleases God our Savior, who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth.” 1 Timothy 2:1-4 (NLT)
“Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion.Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.” Ephesians 6:18 (NLT)
“Invoke blessings upon and pray for the happiness of those who curse you, implore God’s blessing (favor) upon those who abuse you [who revile, reproach, disparage, and high-handedly misuse you].” Luke 6:28 (AMP)
In realizing we have a Master Builder, we must allow Him to build us according to His specifications otherwise our building will be likened unto the building built on sand. We, the church, will not have the ability to weather the storms of life unless we allow Him to build us on “The Rock!” Not being built on “The Rock” will make us too fragile to be used for the intended purpose of which God established the church. The church is not the building, but those that have accepted Jesus Christ as our Savior. Let us ensure to know who we are and who has supreme authority in our lives; the Master Builder!
